Introducing Derrida.

Jacques Derrida is, at the same time, one of the most influential thinkers of our time and, as it tends to happen, also one of the most controversial. For starters, there are plenty of people who do not consider him a philosopher at all. As a matter of fact, his works have seriously undermined the accepted rules of philosophy, its methods and concepts, and it has also disrupted its own boundaries to the point where one cannot distinguish between philosophy and literature anymore. Deconstruction, his main tool, has been derided by academicians and reviled by plenty of people as politically and morally pernicious as a tool of the devil, a clear example of nihilism and disbelief that is bent in destroying the very foundations of our civilization. This book introduces his main ideas in a very original approach (shared by the rest of the Introducing... collection of books) that combines texts and images to explain the topics.
